As a Bath based company, we’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with one of Bath’s most renowned community and sporting hubs, Walcot RFC. Powered by a community focused ethos, Truespeed is passionate about supporting initiatives that embody community spirit and help people thrive.
The partnership unites the club’s and Truespeed’s community led values and aims to amplify the invaluable support Walcot provides to its players and the wider Bath community. Collaborating to provide new playing kit for Walcot senior, youth and mixed ability teams; support in the regeneration of the clubhouse; new signage throughout the pitches, grounds and clubhouse; and practical support for teams like the mixed ability Walcot Warriors, the partnership aims to support the next generation of Bath rugby.
Truespeed works with communities in a variety of ways, including providing free broadband for life to schools and community hubs. But above all else, people are at the heart of what we do. When we discovered Walcot RFC is focused around enabling players of all ages, genders and abilities to thrive in a supportive and fun sporting environment, we wanted to support the club in any way we could.

Seeing how vital the club’s role is to hundreds of children and parents, we knew becoming the headline sponsor was the best way we could support them. The partnership aims to promote inclusivity in rugby whilst helping Walcot RFC continue its key role in successfully enabling amateur rugby activities for many of Bath’s local residents. Walcot RFC is a strong advocate of sporting inclusivity and teamwork, and promoting the physical and mental health benefits of sports.

Bath has been left in the digital slow lane for years. With its historic streets, cultural significance and difficult to connect areas, the partnership also aims to help residents and businesses of Bath with their connectivity problems. To help bring Bath into the ultrafast era, Truespeed will be attending Walcot events to help Bath get connected and start enjoying full-fibre broadband.
Founded in 1882, Walcot RFC is one of Bath’s oldest and most highly regarded amateur rugby clubs. Walcot delivers rugby to all parts of the local community – with over 400 players across youth, senior, girls and mixed ability teams. Significant investments (supported by the RFU) over the past 10 years have seen major improvements to the pitches and clubhouse. Walcot’s highly inclusive approach to rugby – welcoming all ages and abilities – is the foundation for its longevity and success.
