Our new Truespeed Hub 7 uses Wi-Fi 7 – the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology. It beams the broadband signal around your home more than 4 x faster than earlier generations of Wi-Fi tech. And it contains double the bandwidth of Wi-Fi 6, which means it can handle more devices being used at the same time with reduced congestion and less chance of interference.

Which is exactly what you need if you’re a gamer, home worker or just someone who likes to download things quickly.

Wi-Fi 7 (or IEEE 802.11be) builds on the strengths of Wi-Fi 6 – triband capacity and lightning-fast speeds – to make multi-gigabit internet throughout your home a reality.

New 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM deliver faster speeds to Wi-Fi 7-ready devices, whilst being fully backward compatible with your older phones, tablets and laptops.

Advanced features and innovations:

  • More than 4 x faster: Wi-Fi 7 beams your broadband signal at an impressive 46Gbps maximum speed – which is a four-fold increase on the 9.6Gbps achieved by Wi-Fi 6E. Making it the perfect partner for your full-fibre connection.

  • Up to double the bandwidth: Wi-Fi 7 supports 320 MHz channels in the 6 GHz band. Which is double the maximum of Wi-Fi 6/6E and means up to double the speed to your devices. A game-changer for AR and VR applications.
  • 20% faster data transmission: Wi-Fi 7 brings a significant shift to 4K-QAM. It encodes 12 bits of data into each signal, compared to 10 bits in the previous Wi-Fi 6 standard. This higher modulation allows Wi-Fi 7 to transmit more data in the same amount of time. 20% more, to be precise. The result? Quicker downloads and clearer video calls.

  • Lower latency: Wi-Fi 7 reduces and stabilises latency for the ultimate real-time gaming and video calling experience, even with multiple users online. More good news for AR and VR enthusiasts, especially. But how does it do it?
    • Multi-link operation (MLO): MLO is one Wi-Fi 7 feature that helps reduce latency. By tapping into both 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands to send and receive data, if one band suffers interference or congestion, that data can automatically switch to another band for an uninterrupted session.
    • Preamble puncturing: Another smart feature of Wi-Fi 7 that will improve latency. This one lets your device use part of a channel when other parts are blocked by interference, like your neighbours’ Wi-Fi, meaning no bandwidth is wasted.
