Why do I need to port my phone number? Why I haven’t had to do this with other call providers?

Not heard of this before? That’s probably because, with your previous suppliers, you’ve moved and both properties used Openreach’s Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). If that’s the case, there’s no need to fill out a form to move your number over as it’s essentially the same network.

Truespeed operates outside the Public Switched Telephone Network as we’re building our own network that guarantees your Ultrafast broadband speed. This is why we ask you to complete the PNPA form.

To port your existing number when you switch the Truespeed, just complete the form, attached to your booking confirmation email, with your current provider’s details and return it to us as soon as possible. Once you’re live, we’ll raise the request and get your number ported over to your new Truespeed service.

Once we have received it, it will take between 10-15 working days to process depending on who your current provider is. We’ll let you know when the porting will take place.

IMPORTANT: Please don’t cancel your existing phone service until we’ve confirmed by email that porting is complete.
