A focus on overlooked areas
We were usually the first full-fibre provider in the communities we serve. Our mission had been to focus on areas that need us most; areas that had relatively poor broadband connectivity.
We built our network from scratch, and our team always aimed to build with care, looking to minimise disruption wherever possible and ensuring we secured all the necessary permissions well in advance.
However, as with any building project, there were always unforeseen issues. And some of these, despite our best efforts, cannot be overcome. Which is why there are some areas, streets or even individual properties we sadly cannot reach.
Where we have built, we’ve looked to use existing physical infrastructure – such as telephone poles and underground ducts – to distribute our new cabling and avoid unnecessary disruption. But, where we did have to close a road or cause any inconvenience, we always aimed to do so only for the shortest time possible and always in agreement with local authorities.
As a local business, based in Bath, our workforce is made up of people who live in (and love) the area, which helps when it comes to ensuring we approach the communities we serve with respect and consideration.
