EntreConf Awards Finalist 2024

Following closely on the heels of our announcement that our network had passed over 100,000 homes across the South West, we’re delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories at the 2024 EntreConf Awards – Scale Up and Technology.

This is the second year the EntreConf Awards have been held and they describe the event as “an unrivalled celebration of entrepreneurialism in the region”. At their first awards ceremony in 2023, following our impressive network growth and expansion into South Gloucestershire, we were awarded the Entreconf Scale Up of the Year.

This year we are again a finalist in the Scale up category, which requires a “Demonstrable scale-up in last 2-3 years (eg +20% YoY growth)”, and Technology – “Specialist technology-creating companies – bespoke, proprietorial, distinctive.”

At Truespeed we are exceptionally proud of our technology, we’re creating an ultrafast full-fibre network from scratch in areas that larger broadband providers overlook and ignore. Our network uses the most reliable broadband technology available in the UK, providing our customers with broadband speeds 15x faster than the national average.

As a scale up, we’re continuing to grow and build our network across the South West. Our goal is to have over 500,000 homes on our network, so it was a fantastic milestone in June to pass 100,000 properties. Of those homes, we’re proud to have over 21,000 join Truespeed. As a local company who are invested in the region, we’ve also provided over 160 schools and local community centres with free broadband for life.

The EntreConf Awards take place on the 26th of September, and we’d like to thank everyone in the Truespeed team for getting us to this point!
