Who doesn’t love getting out and about and having fun with friends during the summer, all while listening to some top-notch music? We certainly do.
If you do too – and live in and around the Peasedown area – then you’re in luck, with this year’s Peasedown Party in the Park set to bring the community together once again on Saturday 10 June for a fun-filled day of music and so much more.
As a local, community-focused business based in Bath, we’ve always looked to support local causes, events, projects and initiatives in any way we can. Why? Because we’re on a mission to invest in and secure the future of the South West.
Not only by building an ultrafast, future-proof broadband network in areas across the region, but also by supporting local initiatives and ensuring the communities we expand our network into remain great places to live for generations to come.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Peasedown Party in the Park to support them in providing the local community with yet another fantastic party packed with music, tasty treats, and no shortage of fun.
Now in its thirteenth year, the Peasedown Party in the Park is a fantastic local event run by the Peasedown Community Trust with the aim of bringing the community together and putting Peasedown on the cultural map.
This event has been a huge success in the past, with over £100,000 raised for the local community in the past 10 years alone. Last year saw almost 3,000 partygoers attend, and this year’s party looks set to be another smash.
“With Truespeed’s support, this summer we can put on a festival which will be one to remember,” say Councillors Gavin Heathcote and Karen Walker, who are managing this year’s Party in the Park.
“We’re extremely grateful to everyone at Truespeed for their support.”
The proceeds from the last 10 years have seen £15,000 being directly re-invested back into initiatives that benefit and support local people in the Peasedown area.
And now, with our support, this year’s event can help support even more deserving causes and projects.
“We’re passionate about uniting communities,” says Neil Rogers, our Head of Residential Sales, “whether that’s by connecting customers to our ultrafast broadband or supporting local events like Party in the Park.
“It’s a fantastic local event; one that brings people from all walks of life together. We’re delighted to be supporting it, and can’t wait to see everyone on the day.”
