2022 saw Valley Fest – one of the South West’s best-tasting and biggest food and music festivals – reach a landmark moment in its history. And it was all thanks to our award-winning, full-fibre broadband.

Nestled at the edge of Chew Valley’s picturesque (and slightly remote) Chew Valley Lake, Valley Fest had always struggled with poor connectivity and all the issues a slow broadband connection can bring.

Specifically: no option for contactless payments, leading to slow-moving queues; and no capability for festivalgoers to get connected and stay in touch with friends and family throughout the festival weekend.

Breaking new ground in 2022 (quite literally)…

In 2022, such issues soon became a thing of the past. With the help of our top-notch Planning team and expert engineers, we were able to install a connection to our very own full-fibre network just in time for last year’s event.

As a result, vendors could process contactless payments faster than ever before with 24/7 connectivity, and festivalgoers could share their experience online in real time.

In fact, across the whole four-day festival, our ultra-reliable connection allowed us to connect 150 vendors to our full-fibre broadband, host 2,500 visitors in our Wi-Fi hub, and connect 850 visitors to the ultrafast connection in our tent.

“The connectivity provided by Truespeed worked seamlessly throughout the weekend”, said Sian Swift, Business Development Manager of The Business Exchange, “allowing us to constantly update our 24/7 newsfeed and social media channels.”

And now, we’re all set to help vendors and festivalgoers at Valley Fest 2023 stay even more connected than ever before.

Enhancing Valley Fest’s connectivity for 2023…

Between Thursday 3 August and Sunday 6 August, Valley Fest will be returning with another line-up stacked with some of the South West’s tastiest food vendors and the best of Bristol’s live music scene.

It’s set to be another brilliant event you won’t want to miss. And with three brand-new, dedicated Wi-Fi zones courtesy of Truespeed, it’ll be even easier for vendors, acts and festivalgoers alike to make the most of all their tech with our ultrafast broadband.

Each of the three, easy-to-spot Wi-Fi zones will provide you with an accessible area where you can stay connected to friends and family, share your festival experience on social media, and top-up your cashless wristband’s online account so you can continue to enjoy all the tasty treats on offer.

And each of our Wi-Fi zones form the backdrop for your chance to win a bag of goodies.

Entering couldn’t be simpler – all you need to do is follow the #TruespeedTrail…

Where does the #TruespeedTrail lead?

To bag yourself a bundle of goodies and the chance win a weekend away, festivalgoers need to visit all three of our Wi-Fi zones and share a picture of themselves in front of each eye-catching backdrop.

The first features a vibrant pink piano, which is ready and waiting for anyone to take a seat and twinkle the keys. The second is a sun-soaked beach scene, while the third and final backdrop is our trademark flower wall, featuring a neon-lit Truespeed logo.

Simply snap a selfie or a group photo in front of all three of our backdrops, share the pictures on Instagram or Facebook with the #TruespeedTrail, tag our account (so we know you’ve completed the trail!), and head on over to our tent to receive your goody bag.
